How many of you looked to the skies today to see the solar eclipse?! We had about 65-70% totality here in Phoenix and I got a glimpse of it! Below is an iPhone photo of the eclipse through the solar glasses.

Speaking of the solar system, I’ve been working on this big plush five point crochet star! It works from the outside inward. Meaning you will start by crocheting the 5 points and then crochet them together with just a few rounds of decrease stitches. It’s actually more simple than it sounds!

I am using Bernat Blanket yarn in color Sunsoaked. Yep, that’s the same color I used for Quackers the Duck so you might already have it on hand. You will need one full ball.

Not a fan of amigurumi? My next project will be this Crochet Star Blanket from Yarnspirations.com that I am going to match to the star. Just imagine it in this beautiful bright yellow with the cute smile and eyes! Or you can make it it in multiple colored stripes. Lots of options!
