Excited to be heading to Craft + Commerce tomorrow. Thanks ConvertKit for letting us be a part of this special thing you've built. 🤩 I've never spent time in Boise. For fun, I took a look at what kinds of Mighty Networks are being built by Boise-based Hosts. We've got...🌟 A community for coaches who are moving from one:one coaching to community-based practices. 🌟 A community for people pre and post-bariatric surgery.🌟 A community for religious artists who want to meld their creativity with their spirituality. 🌟 A community for homeschooling parents.🌟 A mastermind group for physicial therapists.🌟 A yoga and wellness community for women. And a couple dozen more. 1. COMMUNITY is everywhere.2. Modern memberships are going to become THE choice for burgeoning entrepreneurs and successful ones from other disciplines who see the writing on the wall. 3. I'm here for it. Also if your city doesn't have at least 5-10 yoga communities on Mighty...you should start one. There's room. 😂

I was looking at our data and found a community with 9,000 members. It's for people experiencing scent loss.It is thriving.Your niche is not too niche. Don't even get me started on the community for people practicing aromatherapy with their birds. I LOVE IT.

I miss when things had one purpose. What even is LinkedIn anymore? This can only result in a dark world where we have to see colleagues and associates writing things like "Crossclimb is actually an incredible analogy for crushing B2C customer success. Here's everything I learned after playing it every day for a year" or we'll get connection requests like "Hey, I see we both enjoy playing Pinpoint! I'd love to talk to you about marketing ROAS." Or do I need to lighten up and have more fun?

Marie Forleo is building the model modern membership (say that 3 times fast). The vibes are great, and the vision is beyond. The landing page alone 👀 — I'm taking notes because it's a masterclass in how to market a community where the value is in getting to connect and collaborate with other members. We all need a dream club.

Free profitable membership idea giveaway: a Mighty Network for "umbraphiliacs" where they can plan eclipse travel, share photos and tips, marvel at the cosmic ballet...etc. One of my friends scoffed when I said we were driving 3 hours to see totality. Any time there's something where you can say "the people that get it, get it" it's the perfect niche for a community. Sirius Travel Inc. — this is a freebie for you 🤣 .

Is it worse to be too niche, or not niche enough? Not niche enough for SURE. The FYP-ification of the world means that you're actually going to reach your audience faster the more specific you are.And from there you can expand and do so comfortably because you already have product-market/community-market fit. And that's your quickest path to your biggest audience. Because if you just try to go after a broad audience no one gives a 💩. But by being hyper specific you actually elicit true JOY when someone finds you. It's like you exist just for them. Those "wow, I feel seen" people become your passionate evangelists and it's through THEM you win over broader and broader circles of people.Inspired by this band that, yes—I found on TikTok. #coinoperatedmedievalcountrysongsthrougha1950swesternlens

As I was watching the new hit show, Shogun, I realized this tale of epic historical adventure and political intrigue actually has some important lessons for every B2B SaaS marketer 👇Just kidding.Obviously (I hope????).I of course was just thinking “that sword is cool” and “how did they hike in those sandals?” like a normal person. But I did see an actual LinkedIn post like that so just stay alert and aware; it’s grim out there. 🙏
